2016 Arcudi • Cabernet Sauvignon Pritchard Hill (95 – 97)+
A barrel sample coming from the Stagecoach Vineyard and composed of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, to be aged for 18 months in 66% new French oak, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Pritchard Hill has a deep garnet-purple color and is intensely scented of cassis, red currants and blackberries with blueberry compote, Indian spices, dried herbs and roses nuances. Medium to full-bodied, rich and plush in the mouth, it truly struts its gorgeous, perfumed fruit even at this youthful stage, finishing with epic length.
2016 Arcudi • Cabernet Sauvignon Black Sears Vineyard (93 – 95)
A barrel sample coming from the highest vineyard on Howell Mountain and composed of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, to be aged for 18 months in 50% new French oak, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Black Sears Vineyard gives up a medium to deep garnet-purple color and expressive nose of red and black currants, violets, cigar box and tilled earth. Medium to full-bodied, fine boned, fresh and lively in the mouth, it has approachable, ripe, grainy tannins and a long, savory finish.
2015 Arcudi • Cabernet Sauvignon Black Sears Vineyard 93+
Coming from the highest vineyard on Howell Mountain and composed of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, aged for 18 months in 50% new French oak, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Black Sears Vineyard displays a deep garnet-purple color and nose of cassis, dark chocolate, espresso and black soil with hints of tea leaves and cedar. Medium to full-bodied, velvety textured and delivering a great core of rich black fruits, it has wonderfully harmonizing texture and a nice, long, minerally finish. 200 cases were made.
